When: Scuba suit up! Another supper club rises to the surface, this one helmed by closet cooks Pawan and Megha. At every event, these two cook a different cuisine (last time’s focus was Coorg) at Prahlad Kakkar’s very cool The Dive Shop, invite expert orators and have guests networking with 12-odd other Mumbaikars. Don’t let the fake diver hanging from the ceiling distract you.
When: Held every week. Coral of the story: Join the Facebook group for updates.

What: Silk-screened tees from Pardon My Hindi, order online at http://pardonmyhindi.com, approximately Rs 1,350 plus shipping.
Why: Finally, we’re getting beyond kitsch. San Fransisco-based artist Chiraag Bhakta combines the tired old elements of the million design brands that have cropped up recently - printed T-shirt, desi icons, moustachioed men in turbans – and comes up with this fresh new tee in collaboration with Das Racist, a rap trio from New York. Wear you at?!
When: You want to view the Motherland from the other land.

What: Love Sugar Dough, ground floor, Bajaj Arcade, Union Park, Khar (W).
Why: Last week, the Secret Scouters’ radar caught a candy-coloured sign board for a new Bandra bakery – and right next to Butterfly cupcakes! Is that a fat fight we smell? After several investigations, what unravelled is a mystery sweeter than Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s. Love Sugar Dough is this new establishment’s name, and it will house a mezzanine serving finger food like kebabs, tikkas and a special kind of Biryani, along with a bakery doling out croissants, cupcakes, cream cakes and more. It’s elementary, dear Watson.
When: Opens late next week.

What: Bow ties by urvshe at Azaad Bazaar, 16th/33rd Road, Bandra (W), opposite Mini Punjab, call 9930212636, start at Rs 300.
Why: Embellished with lace, beads, sequins and even bright pink feathers, bpb loves the just-arrived batch of bowties at Azaad Bazaar. You can wear them around your neck or as a brooch, but we plan to do ours as a garter belt with a really, really short skirt. Bow Derrick!
When: Now, for the neck of it.

.
Why: This new website wants to sponsor you and 23 other people on a three month journey around the country. The catch? You have to live on Rs 1,000 a day (including accommodation, travel, food, entertainment; and no, you can’t spend your own money); blog regularly about your travels; and maybe complete some tasks suggested by readers. All potential participants have to send in an entry describing why they want to change their current lives and be between 21 and 28 years old (be happy that you won’t have to compete with this Scouter, who NARROWLY misses the age criteria)!
When: You want to go siteseeing. Entries open.
