Why: The Woo Hoo hamper isn’t a basket filled with Blur’s CDs, nor is it a gift for sorority girls. Instead, launched by new present service Gifteria, this box of goodies can hold anything –personalised thong, engraved iPod, gold coins, wads of cash - you need to woo your squeeze. Other hamper categories include Sporty, Bookworm, Poker, Naughty, which are delivered in reusable vessels like dustbins, pails and box stools.
When: Your courting is in session.

pERCUSSION

What: Blues Festival 2011, Mehboob Studio, Hill Road, Bandra (W), book tickets here, Rs 2,000 for a day and Rs 3,000 for a two-day season pass.
Why: bpb thanks chord for Mumbai’s latest musical imports: five-time Grammy winner Buddy Guy; BB King and John Mayer accomplice Shemekia Copeland; Billboard chart topper Jonny Lang; and a troop of other smooth blues artists. Hur-Ray Charles!
When: You want to make a ballad point on February 5 and 6.

What: Obataimu pop-up store, Kala Ghoda Café, Kala Ghoda, call Lucy at 9769915829, Rs 7,000 for a silk skirt.
Why: Squeeze through the labyrinthine corridors behind KGC and you’ll find this temporary space, lit by bulb-laden bicycles and vintage telephones, scattered with Polaroid cameras, textured whisky flasks, wood framed spectacles (bpb favorite!) and soft, soft T-shirts from an Alibaug design studio. Pickings for women are slim, but we did find a silk skirt stamped with countless faces.
When: Catch this flea(ting) market all through February.

bRIGHT
