Everyone’s on sale. Which is great, except you aren’t an expert crowd surfer? As always, bpb braved the madness for you at all the big city sales – Mango, Zara, Le Mill, Vero Moda, Aldo – to find you the best bargains. Zara (up to 50%)

One word- chaos. Need a couple more? Long lines. But there’s enough on the racks to make you want to endure both. Like the versatile silver sequined jacket (see photo above) marked down to Rs 4,690 from Rs 5,990, or the polka dot blouse that used to cost Rs 1,690, but is now at Rs 990. Our best buy was red court shoes (Rs 1,390, formerly Rs 2,290) and patent leather bluchers (Rs 1,390, formerly Rs 3,990.)

Aldo (up to 50% off)

If you don’t make it to the shoes at Zara, try the Aldo sale where gold dusted brogues out of an androgynous fairy tale cost Rs 2,700 (formerly Rs 3,200). bpb also likes the beige flats with gold rimmed tassels (pair with floral dress) that has been marked down to Rs 1,800.

Le Mill (up to 40% off)

The sale here is far from frenzied, but we suspect what we're about to reveal might change things – a black Saloni Lodha high-waisted mini with leather band, fluid bottom and psychedelic back zip is for approximately Rs 7,000 and a technicoloured bird print dress is marked down to approximately Rs 11,000, both bum-enhancing and at 40% off! Other brands like Les Fees de Bengale, Isabel Marant and Mawi are also discounted up to 50%. If you don’t care about sale prices, check out the luxuriously long En Inde earrings.

This one isn’t much more different from Zara, where women fight over marked down jackets and jeans. bpb suggests you keep an eye out for the long-sleeved, two-in-one dress with sequins detailing for Rs 2,660 (formerly Rs 3,550). Also fun are the high-waist scarlet shorts for Rs 1,300 (formerly Rs 2,290).
