Fancy a tube of Swiss Dent toothpaste for Rs 1,500 or a pair of tweezers for two grand? How about a wooden paddle hair brush for a thousand bucks? Not even if it doubles up as spanking apparatus!

Everyday dressing tools cost a gazillion times more at Urban Shore, a new Delhi-based store that comes to Bandra with luxurious loot from international beauty brands, all of which are available exclusively through them. A few of the labels here include Menscience, Gentlemen’s Tonic, The Ten Party, The Refinery (for men), and This Works, Rodial, Ren, Philip Kingsley for women.  There’s also an official FitFlop rack (start at Rs 4,000), sandals for men and women by a UK-based company that claim to tone your legs as you walk.

If you’re notions about these lotions etc is that they’re way too pricey, you should know that it’s the most expensive items that were the first to sell. The sales staff told us that a twenty thousand something Ten Party perfume that changes its scent according to your skin and mood, and a Swarovski studded pair of FitFlops that cost Rs 17,000 were gone on day one. 

Soap Floats

But although some of the booty at Urban Shore is criminally expensive (we have to admit the abovementioned heart-shaped Shavata tweezers are adorable), a big portion of products at Urban Shore, displayed in neat wall niches, don’t cost much more than brands like Lush.

Here’s what caught bpb’s eye: Cleavage Cream by This Works, juniper and rum shower gel by Korres (Rs 1,200), Dr. Lipp lip balm (Rs 1,200), gleaming bottles of Butter London nail paint (Rs 1,200), Gentlemen’s Tonic protein conditioner (Rs 1,700) and an intriguing Rodial Glamoxy snake mask (Rs 6,000) that mimics the effects of a Temple Viper’s venom, freezing your muscles and lifting your skin. Just without the poison and stuff. For hiss and her!
