Why: While shuttling between Mumbai and Johannesburg and doing her PhD in Development Studies at London School of Economics, Bombay girl Anokhi Parikh decided to make cool stuff out of scrap plastic. Her newly launched e-store sells three products - bow ties, scarves and ties - inspired in aesthetic by traditional Zulu earplugs called isiqhaza. We love how Anokhi Photoshops these (see red and black Miss Jozi bow tie) on celebrity necks in magazine pictures. Swishful thinking!
