Try On: The Anita Skirt

Anita There-Sigh

We’re not sure who to bank on this month, considering we blew up our September savings on a skirt called Anita. But she’s a fine skirt, that one, sitting pretty on the racks at Kala Ghoda’s designer store Kitsch.

Straight from Diane Von Furstenberg’s fall factory, this intensely pink (also available in black) pencil skirt that grazes the bottom of your knees, looks like it’s been rubbed with four different kinds of berries. Yum, we know! And if the length is making you think matron, a long, long front slit should be enough to shift imagination to 1960s glam secretary. Our guilt-induced justification: it can be worn to a meeting, but as easily to a party when teamed with slinky tank. Also, we blame the neighbouring Kala Ghoda Cafe that encourages post-coffee browsing in the area.

DVF’s new collection at Kitsch also features other fun block solids like super fitted teal blue dress.

Getting there: Kitsch, 48 Dr V. B. Gandhi Marg, Kala Ghoda, call 66153344, R s17,000 for DVF skirt.

It can be worn to a meeting? Seriously?
