What are you looking for in 2012? Inner piece? Recently launched The Boxer Store may be a place to start. Started by a business school graduate, this online store sells inners for him and her – boxer shorts and pyjamas – and delivers to your doorstop.

Get Your Panties in a Bunch

One browse through their drawers and we discovered that the concept of The Boxer Store is way cooler than the actual collection. Although they have over 30 different boxer short styles for men, almost half of them are corny, featuring tired one-liners about beer and other Neanderthal favourites. And to make things worse, these are accompanied with badly crafted product descriptions that serve as a retail repeller.

If you do decide to buy your underwear here, look out for the ones featuring teen patti (Rs 399), tool boxes (Rs 399) and retro cars (Rs 599). Fun, but quite expensive. The women folk get luckier, with pretty anchor prints (Rs 499) and vintage comic strips (Rs 699). There are also cute pajama sets outrageously priced at Rs 1,499, making you re-visit the idea of retiring your old track pants and tees and sending them to the night-time section of your closet.

Over The Undies

We’re not sure we’d shop here when there’s a cheaper place in the city (Teamo, Linking Road) for men’s boxers or ones that pack in more punch for the same price (Cheapsex and Chumbak). Stylised designs, nicer product photography and cheaper rates are what will get us into The Boxer Store’s pants. We’ll be waiting.
