When we heard that another matchbox-sized store had joined the Bandra wagon, we stifled a yawn. But on closer inspection, Hangover turned out to be a little different – it catered only to men, and we know how partial this particular suburb is to us girls. So we decided to check it out just for you, our boy readers.
Boy Wonder
Soup to nuts, this store covers all the boy basics. Shirts, T-shirts, blazers, overcoats, shoes, and belts are displayed on the ground level, with jeans, trousers and boxers occupying an upper floor. Best of all, the merchandise is easy to browse through because barring T-shirts, everything in the store is neatly hung from racks.
But here’s the catch: all the clothes, sporting labels like ZARA, D&G, Polo, Giorgio Armani, Prada, Gucci, Just Cavalli, Abercrombie and Armani Exchange are first copies from Hong Kong. How do you say “bummer” in Mandarin?
Party Over?
The purists among us were put off immediately, but for those of you who don’t mind the odd knock-off, scope out a cute Warner Bros T-shirt with a Superman sketch (Rs 450) Diesel jeans and a good-looking Porsche duffel bag (Rs 6,600). Fake hands!
Getting there: Hangover, Junction of 16th and 33rd Road, diagonally opposite Mini Punjab, Khar (W), call 32262911, T-shirts start at Rs 450.
