Yes, all you noodle-heads, it's true: after many false starts and failed bids, beloved British ramen and Pan Asian chain Wagamama is arriving at our shores, in approximately three months. Wagamama will be brought to India by Ahimsa Partners, the same guys who run Le Pain Quotidien in Colaba (they plan to open two new branches of LPQ as well).
Love in Tokyo
Big fans of the value-for-money, fast-yet-hygeinic chain, this news made us Scouters grin with glee and brought back memories of sitting at the bright, streamlined Wagamama branch at Leicester Square in London, drowning a hangover in flavorful ramen soup while planning our next trip to the pub. Ah, those were the days.
Wagamama currently has branches all over England, as well as in the USA, Turkey, Kuwait, Denmark, Switzerland and several other countries, but none in India. See the international menu here.
