The “B Road” Bhel Guy: Before the BMC shooed away all the Marine Drive hawkers, this guy's stall did the briskest business. He now operates via his cell phone, and will deliver the yummiest bhel – ask for sev puri with less sweet chutney and a portion of plain bhel for when your tongue is burning - straight to your doorstep.

HR Chinese: Formerly a Chinese stall outside HR college, Rajiv's legendary cart - chilli chicken and all - is now parked inside the institution's canteen, but makes personal deliveries as well. Huge quantity for less.

Shiv Sagar: The cheese pav bhaji here is so good that we sometimes send for it all the way from our office at Cuffe Parade. Remember to ask for less butter on your pav, and tell them to pack everything into plastic containers. Clean and fast.

The Pizzeria: Get the 12 inch Bombay Masala, but ask them not to make it too crispy, because that travels terribly. You can even have leftovers for breakfast – just stick the pizza into the oven for 10 minutes.

Da Vinci Express: A good, fast option if you want to get away from the regular pizza chains. I always order Margherita pizza with green chillies on top. They’re pretty flexible, so feel free to customise.

Lebanese Point: Chicken shwarma isn’t doused in hummus (so ask for it specially if you want some), but is garnished with a yum garlic sauce. I also like Chip n’ Dip, basically fries with chaat masala. They always send the food fresh, hot and with extra pickles.

Pronto: They’re not stingy with pizza toppings, and are one of the few places to offer bacon, which I love. Single-meals are good value for money – char grilled chicken steak is accompanied by sides of mashed potatoes, buttered boiled vegetables and garlic bread. It has too much mustard, though, so ask them to tone it down.

Andheri (West): Two Many Cooks?

Chawla ka Dhaba: You can’t go wrong with the food here, but if I had to pick I would choose tandoori chicken and dal makhani. Remember to tip the delivery boys well, because they are polite even on the busiest days.
