Over a shot glass of complimentary organic mango juice, we were told that the quinoa for the quinoa burger at Yoga House, is “from our shelves”.  We sipped and walked once around Naturally Yours, Pali Hill’s new shoebox shaped organic and natural food shop to find a whirl of packets and bottles, pouches and jars promising good health.

With a branch at Vile Parle (E), the three-day old store seems quite at home in this upmarket locality, where people from the neighbourhood are already making their second shopping trip. At Naturally Yours, you’ll find organic pulses, grains, condiments, beverages, spices, body care products and baby food from mostly Indian and a few international brands. Organic fruit and veggies come in fresh every Tuesday and Friday, so you can pre-order and have these delivered anywhere in Mumbai.

Shelf Help

In the crowd bpb spotted Under the Mango Tree’s honey jars; Byodo’s tomato ketchup; brown rice by Nourish Organics; Naturellement’s guava and plum jams from Pondicherry; and maple syrup by Sirop D’erable. Dominating the shelves is Conscious Foods’ spices, pulses and small packet power snacks like jaggery chews and grain crackers that can easily be popped into your office bag. Also ask to see Naturally Yours' premium range featuring whole wheat pasta, vanilla beans, apple cider vinegar, drinking chocolate, apple butter and orange peel candy.

The sales staff here will be quick to differentiate the soaps and soups that are “natural but not organic”. Go home with a packet of karela soup that clears your system and a bar of Himalayan Lime suds. How’s that for clean, wholesome fun?
