Recipe: Kara Age – Soy Flavoured Chicken
Ingredients
250 gms chicken legs with skin
12 ml soy sace
15 ml mirin
15 ml sake
5 gms grated garlic
5 gms grated ginger
Method
Put the chicken pieces in a bowl, add all ingredient and marinate for 30 minutes.
Heat the oil at 170 degrees. Toss enough potato starch and flour into marinated chicken.
Fry the chicken pieces for a few minutes at a time until golden brown.
Drain well and serve on a bed of iceberg lettuce.
