Buns and Noble
bpb got a peek at the new Gostana café this past weekend, where owner Arpana Gvalani, her family and friends, were adding finishing touches on Saturday evening. The 320 square feet space located in a garage behind Elbo Room in Bandra, is bigger and comfier than its predecessor. There are nine bar stools, three tables and a wooden raised floor seating area that will double up as a stage for a solo acoustic act at some point. As a backdrop, there’s also a wall that will be dedicated to indie music artists, so if your friend is in a band, get him/her to send these guys a high-res photograph and they’ll be up there, watching over burger-feasting Bandra buggers.
The menu, predominantly bun oriented, stays the same for now, with minor introductions including an Apple and Chiku smoothie dedicated to the café’s namesake dogs. There’s also plans for Evil Weekend Burgers that will include a butter chicken version.
Gostana is slated to open next week, but we suggest you call before. And if you do call to check, order a burger because they’re doing home deliveries.
