If you’ve done something shady in Lower Parel - who hasn't? – bpb has a getaway car for you. Meet us at the Oasis Complex’s gate number 4, next to Kamala Mills and you’ll find an F1 car to beat traffic, cops, and the rush of most illicit activities.
Okay, it’s an F1 simulator, but it’s still pretty cool and this you’ll find at Smaaash, a brand new gaming centre at Lower Parel. There are bits that will remind you of The Bowling Company – Air Hockey, arcade games, a four-lane bowling alley – but there are also cool sport simulators. While bpb tried the above mentioned Formula One drive during a sneak peek last week, we hear the cricket simulators that allow you to face international bowlers like Malinga and Wasim Akram, will be the main attraction at Smaaash.
Besides the games, there’s also a food counter that serves Chinese, Mexican and Continental snacks, a bar and Thai spa for those whose hands get stuck in a video game claw.
Now Smaaash may have one too many vowels, but it also has plenty for a fun evening out. Provided you’re willing to navigate the hoards of college students that will soon invade this space.
Getting there: Smaash, City Studio, Oasis Complex, next to Kamala Mills Compound, gate No. 4, Pandurang Budhkar Marg, Lower Parel, call 49143143 or view the Facebook page here, Rs 600 for 15 minutes on the cricket simulator.
