If upon hearing the name “RadioWhiskey” you think of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Southern music, of the clink an ice cube makes when dropped from the perfect height into a nice, heavy snifter (us too!), you’re going to be disappointed by this new online radio station. But if you’re looking for a website that legally streams popular music with a dash of indie thrown in for variety, you might want to bookmark RadioWhiskey.in when it launches later in July.
Excited about the new air-rival, bpb chatted with Mr Pandey about the radio’s coolest features:
We take requests!: Type in your song preference along with your email address, and you’ll receive an email notification at least an hour or two before the song you requested goes on air.
Song links to video: You can watch videos of currently playing songs.
Now, next, later tab: This is pretty straightforward, but it’s the one thing that helps online radio trump the conventional kind, by giving listeners not only titles and artists of songs that are playing now, but the next two as well.
HTML player: This will let you to listen to and access the station on any browser, and even on your iPad or smart phone. We’re particularly proud of this, since most online radios have flash players that can’t play on mobile devices.
