Let's be clear: we Scouters hate the gym, those chambers of sweat and dumbbells and fatigue, where people glug gatorade and agonize over every pound, expending all their energy contorting themselves on scary-looking contraptions. No, it's not our scene at all. But if you're a healthy misogynist, you should check this out: Frequencee is a new fitness studio at Hughes Road that offers morning, all-day and evening sessions in yoga, Zumba, Masala Bhangra, salsa and Pilates.

You're All Sweat

Founded by Hetal Madhiwalla, a fitness instructor with more than a decade of experience and her husband Ajay, Frequencee is located at the previously-stalled mammoth commercial complex behind Dharam Palace, in a 700-sq-foot studio that can squeeze up to 35 yoga students. The space is more cheery than your average gym, painted in bright walls lined with photos and tricked out with wooden shock-absorbent floors. But they have only a small washroom and no showers, a huge disadvantage for those looking to take a quick gym-break during work hours.

The studio launches officially this Saturday, and offers batches from 7 am to 8 pm daily. You can sign up for a particular type of exercise or for Hetal’s FQ Workout, which is a combination of exercises with the trampoline, steppers, weights, Swiss ball, skipping ropes and zumba, depending on your fitness goals. Hetal also offers aqua zumba, but only if you have access to a pool.
