In season IV, Farmers’ Market returns with a super pretty venue, a bunch of new vendors and sweet Sunday music. Located two minutes from BKC at Nakshatra Van, Maharashtra Nature Park, this one’s “all green and no concrete”, says founder Kavita Mukhi.
While new stalls will feature organic packaged foods, natural milkshakes, Mexican food and ecotourism, Kavita insists that the biggest attraction this year is the venue itself. “I see Nakshatra Van as Mumbai’s Hyde Park. Come visit on Sunday, climb trees or just wander off,” she says. Live music will be provided by Tribal Flora, but you are encouraged to bring your own guitar too.
In November, Farmers’ Market will also pop up at Jai Hind College (Churchgate) in South Bombay and at an Andheri location starting January next year. Take a plough, folks!
Getting there: Starts on October 7 (every Sunday until March 24) from 10 am to 3 pm, at Nakshatra Van at Maharashtra Nature Park, Dharavi, two minutes from BKC, visit http://farmersmarket.co.in.
