Why: Housed in a former Reader’s Digest office, Matthieu Foss returns to its roots this month, transforming into a temporary book library where people can contribute, browse and barter art books. Early donations include catalogues on landscape and contemporary art, essays by Tolstoy and photo book from Bamako, Mali.
When: Until August 15, you can donate books to the gallery. For ten days after that, the collection will be open to the public for browsing only. On August 26, people who donated will be able to take home as many books as they contributed. Books can also be exchanged for drawings by art students. Word!
