Gig-gle Some More!
Tuesday, 18 January 2011 19:22

Last night, something strange happened at the Comedy Store - the man wearing a Hawaiian shirt in the front row wasn’t heckled; and there was little laughter from the audience.

Plus, instead of a wise-ass stand up act the stage was dominated by “Sufitronic” band Rajasthan Roots, who bill themselves as a collaboration of traditional Indian and international musicians, and are just one of the bands in the ‘Played Live’ series, through which the Comedy Store will be swapping laughter for lyrics every Tuesday.

Acts to follow will represent different genres of music including jazz, acoustic, blues and electronic, and are rumoured to be flown in from all over the world. Blow the trumpet!

bpb heads-up: Jazz music by D Company is on next Tuesday.

Getting there: The Comedy Store, 3rd floor, Palladium, Phoenix Mills, Lower Parel, call 43485010,  or visit www.thecomedystore.in; start at Rs 300 for ‘Played Live’.

Wasn't it a pleasure to hear Kutle Khan sing?

Did you guys attend the event last night? And if yes, any reason why you haven't reviewed the performance?

I was there last night (and am not a groupie / pr person) and I thought it was a phenomenal performance only because of the Kutle Khan... Expected highlights of the performance too..
