Watch Lovepuke: For Barfs and Laughs
Wednesday, 07 September 2011 17:11

There are different interpretations of the term Lovepuke at the bpb office: Love in the Time of Cholera compressed into one word; the way a gooey-eyed hand-holding couple makes you feel; the digestive fate of a person overfed with affection.

But VJ/actor and one of our favourite tweeters Juhi Pande (@juhipande) is here to tell you that Lovepuke is really a stage play on urban relationships with a fun ensemble cast including Imaad Shah, Ishan Nair, herself and others. It’s showing at NCPA today (September 8) and tomorrow, and Juhi uses ten tweets to say why you should be there.

10 Reason to Watch Lovepuke

1. It's called LovePuke. That should be reason enough.

2. First 5 rehearsals, I had to hide my face with a sheet of paper because I kept cracking up.& I had already read the play a few times before.

3. The trials and tribulations of love can spin some really interesting stories and this is one of them.

4. 8 people running around on a stage for an hour and ten minutes. What's not to like?

5. The cast is pretty stellar. And it's such a fun mix of people. If I sound like I'm gushing, it’s because I am.

6. The director Saba Azad fed us pizza & bourbon biscuits, so a few of us might be bursting out of our clothes which might be fun to watch too.

7. I want to say there's a twist in the tale because I like the way it sounds. But this may or may not be a lie.

8. If you have ever loved or been loved, this would be a good place to see your story played out.

9. It's on non visarjan days and the coffee at NCPA is to die for

10. We would like a packed house, because we are actors and our egos will be thrilled. Please do come.

Getting there: Lovepuke at NCPA Experimental Theater, Nariman Point on September 8 and 9 at 8 pm, view the Facebook group here, Rs 150, Rs 200 and Rs 250.
