What: Ciro’s Pomodoro, 1, N Block Market, GK 1, call 41731035, meal for two with cocktails approximately Rs 5,500.
Why: Replacing the Ravi Bajaj Café is the first Indian outpost of this wincingly expensive international restaurant chain, bringing with it a manager from Latvia, Czech hostesses and pizzas named after celebrity patrons – we had the Patrick Swayze four cheese pie. Also on the menu is shank of lamb on a bed of saffron risotto (chewy, even though the meat fell off the bone); too-rich pork loin with creamy sauce and much simpler - and better – fried mozzarella triangles and chilli bread.
When: We hear Mr Ciro himself will be in town next week and he’s bringing a bunch of his celebrity friends, so go to star watch. Full review out soon!

Why: Named after one of our favorite book series by Enid Blyton, this new home store promises all kinds of whimsy, like fairy lights strung across box shelves, miniature furniture and a multi-coloured giraffe called Melman. Swing by when it opens next week, and you might even find Chinky the pixie lurking behind a cupboard, or the Tidbit Dish from the Island of Surprises.
When: You want to Blyton your load. Store opens July 14.
