What: Let’s Roll, Nizamuddin West Market, call 8447874711, 9999958986, Rs 75 for a roll, minimum order of Rs 300 for home delivery.
Why: Run by three friends out of a tiny former real estate office, two-week-old Let’s Roll is a simple set up: stove, woman by the stove, another woman to take orders and count money, and a man in charge of sprinkling onions and lemon juice. The rolls, however, are yum: fat and eggy, filled with soft bits of meat or vegetables and not terribly greasy. (Hat tip: thanks, Altaf!)
When: You want to indulge in hanky-frankie.

Why: When Karan Bakshi was just a young engineering student in Pune, he began repurposing household things into gifts for his friends. Thus was born Artfeat, under which he fits digital clocks into old ammunition carriers, morphs door latches into paperweights, turns rakes into wine holders. He also works with home and corporate interiors, and recently refitted an office using water pipes as decoration, which he compares to Lego. Block party!

Why: Forget smudgy mascara and walks of shame. Your morning-after just got sexy with Missisippy Life’s gourmet muesli made with amaranth, berries and nuts. Let its crumbly sound fill the awkward silence between you two; heaps on milk, smoothies or yogurt; and share while talking about the weather, but also Missisippy’s many flavours - blueberry, coffee-hazelnut (our favourite), saffron and apple-cinnamon. These are made in a Mahabaleshwar “lair” by food-obsessed Jaideep Sippy, (he previously held senior positions at LV and Gucci in India), who started a health food company after he got sick. More cheap-chic natural products that guarantee a glow are in the works.
