What: Join a cricket, football or badminton league at GameOn India, visit www.gameonindia.net or call 9871543303, Rs 4,000 for a month-long cricket tournament.
Why: Now that no one’s watching the IPL anymore, it’s time to get behind a hipper league: founded by three corporate suits, GameOn India is a new “sportal” that encourages working professionals in Delhi to come out and play. They organise several leagues every month, for which you can register individually or as an entire team. Starting this Saturday is a four weekend long cricket tournament consisting of 8 teams, held at Jamia Mellia Cricket ground. The fee will include participation, personalized jerseys printed with your name and refreshments – hurry and call, as they have only three spots left (not reflected on the website). Also coming up are a football league and badminton for women.
When: (Shaun) Tait Modern opens this Saturday, April 28.

What: Kuzart Lane Art Gallery and Café, Building number 2, Hauz Khas Village, call 9810688447 or visit the Facebook page here.
Why: Even though it’s located in one of the Village’s labyrinthine lanes, this little gallery + café is hard to miss: just look for the giant green reptile curled around the building front. Walk in and you’ll find a long corridor/gallery showcasing artworks from photographers, painters, sketchers and interior designers (they’re accepting entries!); a wall dedicated to graffiti art; and a small café lit by teacup chandeliers, serving the regular HKV menu of burgers, sandwiches, chicken tikka and smoothies. A little typical but still a fun marriage of art and food.
When: Mural’s Wedding slated to open next week. Stay tuned for the full bpb review!

What: Alcohol-infused jams and other treats from the Gourmet Jar, call 9560077622 or visit the Facebook group here, operates out of a home kitchen in Noida, Rs 350 for a bottle of jam, free delivery in Delhi and Noida on a minimum order of Rs 500.
Why: Griddle me this: how does banana rum jam get from a bed and breakfast in Burgundy to a sunny home kitchen in Noida? Via self-taught chef and food blogger Apeksha, who was introduced to the ambrosial stuff on a vacation in France and decided to replicate it back home, with excellent results. She also makes Kiwi Whiskey Orange Marmalade, Pumpkin Butter with Cointreau, a bunch of non-alcoholic jams, granola mixes and flavored nuts. These can be customized for taste or allergies and come in pretty packaging. The sweetest spot: if you need 2-3 bottles, she’ll make a seasonal fruit jam for you, even if it’s not on the menu. Preserves this!
When: You want to kiss Kissan goodbye.
