Kaffeine Opens in HKV

We stopped by this new “grill and beer bar” for lunch, hoping for a fish tikka accompanied by a cold one. The menu for the day, posted helpfully on the door, showed bacon wrapped prawns and a salmon steak – lovely! - but the chef, unfortunately, wasn’t in to cook up anything for us. Also, no beer.

A small place run by Yeti’s landlord, Kaffeine plans to procure a liquor license soon. For the near future, however, they plan to serve only Kingfisher, Tuborg, and Stella Artois, a rather stingy selection for a beer bar.

Disheartened, we settled for a frappuccino that was over-sweet and over-priced, even if it was made from Kenyan beans, and didn’t feel brave enough to sample the weary-looking croissants and puffs displayed in a small glass case.

On the plus side, they do have free wi-fi and if you ask nicely, the owner will slip you a beer despite not having a license.

Getting there: 50 A Hauz Khas Village, call 64690579, Rs 209 for a frappuccino.

I know these people.... and enjoy going there everyday..Please stand corrected...I offer pointers to a very mean / jealous / sponsored bunch... whatever you are. You will surely get what you deserve or probably already are.

The background of these people... HKV currently owes a lot to these people from securing parking inspite of non cooperation from major restaurants.. to cleanliness to fire safety to almost any noble cause that happens for the welfare of the village... almost any senior villager can be asked that and they will vouch for them. The are found on the forefront defending the and fighting for peace here very very selflessly.

I have also seen them refusing wifi to people. I presume for legal safety.

the beer bar on the logo has been covered with tape... there is no beer on premises.. so the owner cannot offer a beer either... let alone the wifi
Almost over a lac per seat has been spend by the restaurant is not formally open. It has a great view fantastic interiors I have ever seen. food trials are on and I see a lot of smiling faces leaving there, most of them are everyday regulars who only like sitting there, these people are giving a lot of food free. So with so much goodwill in the pipeline. I doubt there is any accurate review from you people. I love this place more even though im really fond of these people.
